For your account and use of the Service, mittera is the data controller. For the contents and recipient data of the email you sendthrough mittera, you are the controller and mittera acts as your processor — we process that data only on your instructions to deliver your email, as set out in our Terms of Service and any data processing terms.

• Account data: name, email address, and credentials you provide when you sign up.
• Sending data: the messages, recipient addresses, templates, and metadata you submit to be sent, plus delivery events (sent, delivered, bounced, opened, complained).
• Usage & technical data: API requests, logs, IP address, browser/device information, and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Billing data: if you purchase a paid plan, the limited information needed to process payment (handled by our payment provider).

We use personal data to:

• provide, maintain, and secure the Service and deliver the email you send;
• authenticate you and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse;
• provide support and respond to your requests;
• monitor deliverability and improve reliability;
• comply with legal obligations.

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (to secure, operate, and improve the Service and prevent abuse); your consent where required; and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers (subprocessors) that help us run the Service — such as hosting, infrastructure, and payment processing — under contracts that require them to protect it, and where legally required (e.g. to comply with a lawful request). flndrn self-hosts much of its infrastructure to keep data within its own control where possible.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Account data is retained while your account is active; sending logs and delivery events are retained for a limited period to support deliverability, troubleshooting, and compliance, then deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion as described below.

We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation of customer data — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

Our infrastructure is operated within Europe. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email admin@flndrn.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If your personal data is contained in email sent by one of our customers, please contact that customer (the controller); we will assist them as their processor.

The mittera website and dashboard use only the cookies necessary to operate, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. Where non-essential cookies or analytics are used, we ask for consent as required.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
